my heart goes out to you, Ais. i want to say so much, but in the end, it distills to a hug across the ocean and empathy from afar. its a hard awareness to deal with. big love to you and yours.

<em>Thank you, Brian. It is all of feelings very close to home; my grandparents, both, were/are in the hospital. My gramma went in Friday, discharge Sunday, grampa Sunday and is still there, and when discharge will have to go to hospice before returning home. They have always been old to me, but now that they're in their 80s I am far too aware of the finite nature of life.
